This is possibly the last photo taken of Captain Charles Albert Barnes - he was killed at Gallipoli on 28 April 1915.
On Sunday, January 10, 1915, Captain Barnes wrote in a letter to his mother:
‘After Church this morning the whole Battalion was marched up to the Pyramid
(Old Cheops) and we had a photo took or at least several of them.’

Harry SAWLEY - ID# 604
Lance Corporal Harry Sawley was 23 years old when he was killed in action on 25th of April 1915, the day of the Gallipoli landing. Harry was born in Burnley, Lancashire, England to parents John and Mary Jane Sawley.
His service record, held by the National Archives of Australia, states his occupation is a Painter, of Wesleyan religious denomination, standing 5ft 6ins tall, with blue eyes, brown hair, and a fair complexion, with no distinguishing marks.

James Frederick RULE - RTA - ID# 601
Early Life
James RULE was born in Smith St, Collingwood, Victoria on the 16 August 1891, the first child to Alexander and Constance Rule.
James had two brothers, David & John (aka Jack) and a sister Constance, called Aunty Pet by the nieces and nephews. In 1901 James enjoyed seeing the streets of Melbourne decorated with arches for the celebration of Federation.
